My Ethos

Why Knitpossible?

In my time as a fiber artist, I have heard many knitters downplay their skills, saying, "It's just a hobby" or "I'm not as good as others." I believe this is unwarranted self-sabotage. The very act of creating something out of fiber, whether it be the simplest dishcloth or the most complex sweater, takes more effort, know-how, and drive than many realize. Seeing this trend of doubt inspired me to create luxury fiber artist tools and handmade knitting notions. This is my way of reinforcing the idea that what you do is special. With that reminder, I hope you find the courage to stand up for your craft and to try new things. Do the Knitpossible!

Our Story

Hi there! My name is Drew.

I am the man behind Knitpossible, where my journey as a fiber artist began in Indiana around 2015 after dropping out of college, where I was studying interior design. By then, I was already a knitter, crocheter, and spinner, and I was fortunate to land a job at my local yarn store, which also sold jewelry supplies and various handmade knitting notions.

It didn’t take long for me to pick up jewelry making as a new hobby, but my involvement in the craft eventually grew far more intense than I could have anticipated. I taught myself as many skills as I could, and by 2017, I was enrolled at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. It was at the Revere Academy that I honed my skills in old-school European style goldsmithing and truly found my calling.

I temporarily closed Knitpossible while in school and tentatively reopened after moving to a new city. I found employment at a jewelry store, then at another yarn store, and by the end of 2018, I was offered a position at the production studio of a fine jewelry brand in the San Francisco Bay Area. I packed up my work, closed Knitpossible again so I could focus on moving, and made my way out to California once again.

I am happy to be in charge of this business and to put my skills in fine jewelry to use. There’s nothing that makes me happier than hearing how much a customer enjoys the piece I have made for them. I hope you take the time to look through my work and fall in love with it just like I have, as I continue to share my Knitpossible story with you.

Thanks for reading!
